Rachel Mahon

Rachel MahonRachel Mahon is Assistant Director of Music at Coventry Cathedral, where she works with the Cathedral Choir and curates the organ recital series. Prior to this she was Assistant Organist at Chester Cathedral and Organ Scholar at St Paul's Cathedral in London, where she gave recitals and regularly played and conducted for services, working with the world-famous Cathedral Choir in the daily cycle of worship.

Past and upcoming recital engagements include an opening concert for the Montreal Symphony; RCCO National Conventions; Orgelsommer Festivals, LĪ‹neburg, Germany; St Thomas Church Fifth Avenue, New York City; The Toronto Bach Festival; Haderslev Cathedral, Denmark; and the John Hill Organ Series, St Lawrence Jewry.

Rachel has won numerous awards and competitions in Canada, including a coveted graduating scholarship from the University of Toronto, where she earned her Bachelor of Music degree. She has studied with John Tuttle in Toronto and Henry Fairs at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. In 2014, she was named one of the top 30 musicians under 30 in Canada by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
