Stravinsky/Gesualdo - Choral Works
Recorded 1-3 July 1994. Released May 1995.
Igor Stravinsky was a notable contributor to Carlo Gesualdo’s 400th anniversary celebrations in 1960, writing the music to a commemorative ballet by George Balanchine. In the same year he completed the Renaissance composer’s ‘Tres Sacrae Cantiones’ which sit at the heart of this intriguing album.
