This extensive pre-Christmas tour was also the fortieth anniversary of the Choir’s remarkable relationship with its “home away from home” in Korschenbroich in North Rhine-Westphalia. The town generously hosted yet another generation of Choral Scholars and Organ Scholars in family homestays for the duration of the tour’s German stage, and at a capacity farewell concert at the St Andreas-Kirche. In the second half of the tour, the Choir made debut appearances at a string of historic churches in the Netherlands, including shared concerts with resident ensembles in Wijk bij Duurstede and in Haarlem.
