Jacquet's Ghost

“An excellent program of mostly short contemporary works on the 1975 Metzler organ of Trinity College, Cambridge. […] Farr’s playing and the recorded sound are both superb.” – Fanfare Magazine

Stephen Farr presents an album of contemporary works for organ including world premiere recordings of Huw Watkins’ ‘Pièce d’Orgue’, Lionel Rogg’s ‘Ricercare Cromatico’, Jon Laukvik’s ‘Monody with Variations’ and Bernard Foccroulle’s ‘Spiegel’. The recording also contains the first recording of a specially-commissioned work entitled ‘Jacquet’s Ghost’ by the acclaimed British composer Judith Bingham, written to explore the unique tonal qualities of the Trinity Metzler.
