Ego flos campi (c. 1555)
Ego flos campi et lilium convallium.
Sicut lilium inter spinas, sic amica mea inter filias,
fons hortorum,
et puteus aquarium viventium, quae fluunt impetu de Libano.
I am the rose of Sharon and the lily of the valleys.
As a lily among thorns so is my love amongst the daughters,
a fountain of gardens,
a well of living waters streaming forth from Lebanon.
