This recording presents a selection of Michael Praetorius’ settings of chorales for Advent, Christmas and Epiphany, ranging from homophonic four-part harmonizations to densely contrapuntal five- and six-part motets, each full of flair and invention.

Originally released on Conifer Classics, this album was re-released by Sony Classics in 2016 part of a six-disc compilation, > Early Choral Music at Trinity.
