Bramma, Harry: This is the day

Alleluia – This is the day (2009)

Alleluia. This is the day which the Lord hath made.
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
Let the whole earth stand in awe of him,
and Jacob awoke out of his sleep, and he said,
Surely the Lord is in this place,
and he was afraid and said,
O how awesome is this place,
this is none other but the house of God
and this is the gate of heaven.

To this Temple, where we call thee,
Come, O Lord of Hosts, today;
With thy wonted loving kindness
Hear thy people as they pray;
And thy fullest benediction
Shed within its walls alway.

Seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses,
lay aside every weight and the sin that does so easily beset us,
and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith,
who for the joy that was set before him,
endured the Cross, despising shame,
and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Likewise reckon ye yourselves to be dead unto sin,
but alive unto God thro’ Jesus Christ our Lord.
Alleluia. Amen.
