Europe 2019
This short but varied European tour began on the Italian island of Ischia and with a concert in the spectacular gardens of La Mortella, the former home of Sir William and Lady Susana Walton. (Lady Walton personally prompted the choir’s 1989 recording of a selection of Sir William’s choral works, which included world premiere recordings.) Further concerts, a reception and a masterclass were given at Luxembourg’s Notre-Dame Cathedral and at the ancient church of Saint Pantaleon in Cologne, resting place of the 10th-century Holy Roman Empress Theophanu.
