The Trinity organ on record
Trinity’s magnificent Metzler organ incorporates original 17th century pipework and cases built by the German-born master organ maker ‘Father’ Bernard Smith, making it intrinsically suitable for the authentic performance of Northern European Baroque repertoire.
The organ’s three manuals and forty-two ranks offer great dynamic and expressive range within Trinity Chapel’s ideally-resonant acoustic. Since its reconstruction in 1976 the > Metzler organ has been chosen by leading organists for studio recordings of works by Bach and Buxtehude in particular.
