Impressive results all round.  A well-drilled chorus and Layton and the Academy musicians lovingly etching some of the most attractive counterpoint from the scores.  Just one problem – only three of the Chandos Anthems are here and it’s a while since there was a recording of this kind of quality of them.  So I hope it turns out to be volume one, even if it doesn’t say so.  It’s a new release from Hyperion.
